Solar Power Panel: The Mitsubishi Solar

By Tony Hartmann

The solar power panel is ideally suited to the flat solar thermal collector that includes solar hot water or air panel that is used to heat water, air or is otherwise used in collecting solar thermal energy. Another connotation of the term solar power panel is that of the photovoltaic module that comprises an assembly of solar cells that are used to produce electricity and usually the solar power panel is flat in shape and is available in different heights as well as widths. The solar power panel may be connected either in series or in parallel that is dependent on its design and comprises an array that is an assembly of solar-thermal panels or photovoltaic modules. Solar power panels are normally found to be in use in residential, commercial, light industrial and institutional applications.

Solar thermal panels were widely used in Florida and California till tank-type water heaters replaced them in the 1920s but these types of solar

Kellogg's ships mercury batteries inside boxes of childrens' breakfast cereal
What could have prompted Kellogg's to take one of the most toxic heavy metals known to mankind and intentionally place it inside boxes of childrens' breakfast cereal? Insanity, perhaps. Or, more accurately, utter disregard for the health of their customers. Even worse, Kellogg's has refused to pull...

panels continue to be produced even in these days and are widely used in those parts of the world where needs are high. Of late, there has been a sudden increase in large scale production of solar power panels incorporating photovoltaic modules and are most useful in some parts of the world where there are high insulation levels. Such enhanced PV solar power panels are used in small-scale solar-electric power generating services.

Solar power panels are available from reputed manufacturers such as BP, Shell, Sharp, Photowatt, Sanyo, Kyocera as well as Mitsubishi Solar. In the case of the Mitsubishi Solar it is backed by Mitsubishi’s legacy of innovation and achievements and has always been an integral part of the future of energy efficient power sources. The Mitsubishi Electric solar power panel have better PTC ratings than the competition’s especially in the 170 watt solar power panels and these panels also have better per watt PTC rating than other mono or poly-crystalline panels. They also come with a full factory warranty and with built-in bypass diodes minimize the reduction to power as a result of shading. A point to remember when comparing various solar power panels is to always be on the lookout for the lowest negative tolerance rating and in this regard, the Mitsubishi Solar has one of the best tolerance ratings in the US market.
